We have been dealing in books since 1988. Ruth started with regular catalogues specialising in the Penguin Series, moving into collectable paperbacks later. We started doing regular book fairs in 1991, our first fair was at Churchdown in June 1991. Since then we opened a shop in Middle Street, Stroud in September 1994, Ron joined the business full time in April 1999. We moved shop to our present position nearer the town in November 2002, changing to our present shop name from 'Ruth Pyecroft Books'. We have had a regular stall in The Shambles Market, Stroud since September 1995.
We are situated just on the outskirts of the top of the town, very near the Police Station and we have the Parliament Street car park directly behind us. You can park outside the shop to load and unload, but not for too long.
